Where do I take the classes?

The Bar Job Finder training course is offered exclusively by mail.  This means that you can work from the comfort of your own home, work at your own pace, where you want and when you want. As a bartending student you simply work through the learning material , become familiar with the content and take the exam when you feel prepared.

How much can a bartender make?

There is a wide range of salaries in the bartending field. You may get an hourly rate or it can be a standard “shift pay”.  As you gain experience in the field, it is not unheard of to potentially make $500-$1,000 a shift.   When you begin your bartender career, you should expect to make anywhere $150-$250 per shift.  As time passes and you gain more experience , expect to make more…much more.  

How long is the test?

The bartending exam consists of 100 questions ranging in scope form Mixology, drink recipes, customer relations, proper glassware, drink history and other fundamental subjects relating to bartending.  The exam requires a minimum score of 70% or higher in order to be eligible for certification and takes approximately 1 hour to complete.

Is this the same certificate that I would get from an in classroom course?

Yes, our course will you give you a recognized certification that is comparable to the certification you would receive at a physical school.  The benefits of taking our course is that you can work through the  course on your own time and at your own pace.

What If I fail the test, do I have to pay to take the course again?

Absolutely not, you can retake the test as many times as you need to pass the course. There is no additional fees for retaking the exams.

Do I really need “certification” to bartend?

No, no states in the U.S. require a bartending certificate to bartend.  However, with the completion of our course you will gain the  knowledge you need to be a competent bartender behind the bar. Additionally, having the skills acquired from our extensive training  will give you an advantage when competing with applicants that do not have such training.
